Under the section on “How to book“, you can send us a message. We will then send you all the important information such as the rental agreement, House Rules, application form etc. As soon as we have received all the signed documents back from you, you will be a member of the FOX 54 community!
No, we are not in receipt of any public funding so we do not have to carry out a selection process. We will process the enquiries in exactly the order in which we receive them. As soon as we are fully booked we will start a waiting list. This will also be processed in chronological order, as we want to deal with your enquiries fairly.
Please tell us whether you want to live alone or with someone else (and whether you prefer a male or female flatmate). We will try to take account of all your wishes as best we can. Please also tell us if you need an accessible room.
We will be happy to add you to our waiting list. As soon as an apartment becomes free, we will contact you. The waiting list will be processed in chronological order so that all enquiries are handled fairly.
The rent covers the charge for using a fully furnished room/apartment, using the communal areas and bike room, all running costs, VAT, Internet and TV charges, and basic cleaning once a month.
The rent must be transferred to our account IBAN AT84 4239 0030 0000 8599 (BIC VBOEATWWINN) with the Volksbank Tirol AG, in the name of Edinger Studentenheim GmbH, at the start of every month (by the 5th of the month at the latest). It is best if you set up a standing order with your bank.
FOX 54 cannot be compared with an ordinary student hall of residence. We would be delighted if you have the time to visit our show apartment. That’s the best way to find out why FOX 54 is truly unique student accommodation. The facilities are more like those in a boutique hotel than a student residence, the rooms are much larger and we have invested a great deal in designer furniture to create this extremely high-quality accommodation.
We don’t promise the lowest price, we promise quality accommodation and our prices include exclusive services (see also “Free services“). Why not come and see for yourself!
Yes. A one-off deposit of EUR 1,100 is due when you sign the contract.
We retain the deposit to cover any unpaid rent or any damage that is caused in your room/apartment.
At the end of the contract we transfer the deposit back to you. Please note that any outstanding rent or costs will be deducted from the total.
Is there a minimum rental period and if so how long is it? Can you rent a room/apartment for just one semester?
The rental agreement is for 12 months – i.e. two semesters.
Your rental agreement is always valid for one year. We would be delighted if you want to extend your contract. Please let us know at least two months before the end of the contract. You can simply extend your contract by emailing email@example.com.
The procedure is covered in your rental agreement.
The project will be completed by the end of August 2017 and the rental agreement will start from 1 October 2017. However, you are welcome to move in from early September because the building will be vacant. You will not be charged for that month.
We do the cleaning for you once a month.
WiFi is available throughout FOX 54 and there is a LAN connection in your room. Rooms are all fitted with a Samsung Serif 32-inch TV with numerous functions. You can find more information here: https://www.samsung.com/global/seriftv/de/index.html
Apart from your clothes and personal things, all you need to enjoy your first few nights within your own four walls at FOX 54 are bed linen, a towel and a toothbrush. The kitchen only contains basic equipment, but you can buy everything else locally.
When you move in, we will go through all the fixtures and fittings together. There will be an inventory that both parties will sign. That will serve as a record for you and for us, so that there are no awkward conversations about damage when you move out.
Yes, anyone who lives in Austria for some time must register with the relevant authorities. We will prepare the form for you, so all you have to do is fill in your details, sign it and take it to the Town Hall (Office for Registration and Residents’ Affairs, 1st floor). You can find their contact details and opening hours here:
When you move out, please don’t forget to de-register.
Of course! In the single-occupancy apartments you can do that at any time. Unlike in other student residences, you don’t need to register overnight guests with us. But if you are in shared accommodation, we ask you to agree it with your flatmate first. Please note that the rooms have not been designed for long-term use by two people.
Please let us know by email immediately and we will arrange a repair as soon as possible.
A rental agreement, the House Rules, the T&Cs and the inventory. We’ll make sure that you receive all those documents from us in good time.
