How do I get an apartment in FOX 54?

Under the section on “Enquiry“, you can send us a message. We will then send you all the important information such as the rental agreement, House Rules, application form etc.

What can I do if my preferred apartment is no longer available?

We will be happy to add you to our waiting list. As soon as an apartment becomes free, we will contact you. The waiting list will be processed in chronological order so that all enquiries are handled fairly.

What is included in my rent?

The rental price is made up of the following costs, rent for the apartment, furniture rental, service charges, miscellaneous (Internet, TV etc.) as well as the necessary VAT.

Therefore all costs are covered, which would normally be due for an apartment.

How do I pay my rent?

The rent must be transferred to our account IBAN AT84 4239 0030 0000 8599 (BIC VBOEATWWINN) with the Volksbank Tirol AG, at the start of every month (by the 5th of the month at the latest). It is best if you set up a standing order with your bank.

Do I have to pay a deposit, how much is it, what is it used for and when do I get it back?

Yes. A one-off deposit of EUR 1,100 is due when you sign the contract.
We retain the deposit to cover any unpaid rent or any damage that is caused in your apartment.
At the end of the contract we transfer the deposit back to you. Please note that any outstanding rent or costs will be deducted from the total.

Is there a minimum rental period and if so how long is it? Can you rent a room/apartment for just one semester?

The rent is subject to the Austrian rental laws (MRG). The contract is valid for 3 years but can be cancelled by the person renting after only 1 year. A shorter rental period is unfortunately not possible.

What do I have to remember at the end of the contract?

The procedure is covered in your rental agreement.

Is my apartment cleaned?

Your apartment will not be cleaned by us. However, the communal areas and the stairwell will be cleaned regularly.

Are Internet and TV available?

WiFi is available throughout FOX 54 and there is a LAN connection in your apartment. Rooms are all fitted with a Samsung Serif 32-inch TV with numerous functions. You can find more information here: https://www.samsung.com/global/seriftv/de/index.html

What do I need to bring with me?

Apart from your clothes and personal things, all you need to enjoy your first few nights within your own four walls at FOX 54 are bed linen, a towel and a toothbrush. The kitchen only contains basic equipment, but you can buy everything else locally.

What do I need to remember when I move in?

When you move in, we will go through all the fixtures and fittings together. There will be an inventory that both parties will sign. That will serve as a record for you and for us, so that there are no awkward conversations about damage when you move out.

Do I need to register with the City of Innsbruck?

Yes, anyone who lives in Austria for some time must register with the relevant authorities. We will prepare the form for you, so all you have to do is fill in your details, sign it and take it to the Town Hall (Office for Registration and Residents’ Affairs, 1st floor). When you move out, please don’t forget to de-register.

What do I have to do if any damage occurs in my apartment?

Please let us know by email immediately and we will arrange a repair as soon as possible.
